Oil Butter™ is so different from just about any other "butter" on the market today, primarily because of Carter + Jane's very unique formulating + manufacturing process. It is a waterless formula - only organic + natural oils are found in their butter. They developed a proprietary heatless manufacturing process to retain all the amazing vitamins + nutrients (they make all of their products in-house).
This is pretty much unheard of in the beauty industry, as it is significantly more time-consuming and complex, but to make the absolute best product they simply saw no other option, so they figured it out!

The coffeehouse culture in the '90s was as much about a thirst for community as it was for coffee. People coming in were buying more than a cup of coffee and scone…they came for a pleasant place to watch others, to read the newspaper or their latest book, to connect with friends and to feel like they were part of the life around them. And of course, to experience the wonderful gourmet aroma…a mix of coffee, vanilla, leather from the well-worn chairs and musk from the books…simply magnificent...

NEROLI

It took them 267 attempts to get this one right…but once they did, they knew they created something special!
They had a very specific place in Morocco that inspired this aroma, that they accidentally found while driving in the countryside. They saw a sign to an orange “farm” and restaurant…they knew they had to stop….and as soon as they did, they knew they had to bottle that unforgettable aroma that floated through the warm Moroccan air.

From the formulator: Orris root, from the Iris flower, is grown in Tuscany among olive trees. Its complexity and beauty make it a premium ingredient, only found in Tuscany. Simply Divine
This is an absolute must in my daily ready routine. This is a thick product however it warms in the hands and spreads beautifully. I layer with the oil and get super hydrated and supple skin for 24 hours+. I also use this on my feet and man what a difference it has made! No more dry heels!
I would love to see a spatula offered to scoop it out easier (I currently use one from another brand) allowing every bit to be utilized! Also, would love to see it offered in all the scents (and more! Like the new spring scents!).

Heaven in a Jar
I literally just used it once and it’s so dreamy! Yes this is a pricey body cream, but to me it is totally worth it. It’s better than my lotions/creams I currently have. I used this after my bath and the body oil. I don’t know how the girls did it, but it’s so fluffy and melts right into the skin with little effort. Such a wonderful new product to try out and have.

Light and Absorbed Well
With a thicker consistency than the oil, I wondered if I would like the application but the butter absorbed quickly into my skin. No stickiness after a few minutes. It seems to address dryness and stay active for longer than the oil. I LOVE the smell. LOVE LOVE LOVE! But the fragrance dissipates quickly so if you don't want fragrance, it will fade . I am sensitive to fragrance - it ends up in my mouth with a chemical feel - BUT I have never had this issue with Carter and Jane.
