KATE MUR FOR ELLIS FAAS
Several years ago, there was a knock on the door of the ELLIS FAAS office in Amsterdam. Outside was a young, shy girl, who timidly said she was a makeup artist and asked if she could show her portfolio to Ellis. Ellis said “of course”, and was amazed by the quality of what she saw.
That was the start of a strong connection between these two artists. The girl was Kate Mur. She came from Moscow, and over the years that followed she has become a makeup powerhouse in her very own right.

WHAT IT DOES
CREAMY EYES
PERFECTLY CREASE RESISTANT
This colored cosmetic is applied to the eyelids or to the skin around the eyes to accentuate them. Applied in a liquid state, the texture dries quickly. Unlike other eyeshadows, this formula becomes resistant to the effects of humidity such as tears and wet weather. It does not build up in the eyes’ creases; and will not smudge when being rubbed.
LIGHTS
Ellis created Lights that are much more than just highlighters. Although liquid, they dry upon application to create the illusion of metallic eyes. The texture appears moist while being perfectly dry with a smooth finish. So you won't feel any stickiness and you'll avoid those pesky eyelid creases.
CREAMY LIPS
For classic lipstick definition and longwearing coverage, use soft and velvety Creamy Lips. Versatile Creamy Lips is also great for a more stained effect -- just load a tiny bit of the lipstick onto the applicator, apply and blot for a matte stain.
MASCARA
Ellis Faas Mascara features a creamy texture that perfectly coats, lengthens and separates each individual lash. It is well-suited for customizing different looks.
KEY INGREDIENTS
CREAMY EYES AND LIGHTS:
- Para Cress flower extract stimulates natural skin-lifting capabilities.
- Coffee extract works to increase collagen and elastin production while also increasing natural skin defenses.
- Extreme wear is delivered through the synthetic filming polymers in volatile oils.
- The spongy soft mousse-like consistency of the texture is achieved through the innovative siliconic wax and siliconic gel in combination with beeswax.
CREAMY LIPS
- Vitamin E - antioxidant, anti-aging, protects from sun exposure, smooths and softens
- Candelilla Wax - skin conditioning, rich in nutrients, provides gloss, a fantastic glide, and lubricates
- Prune Seed Extract - antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, heals, hydrates, soothes and softens
MASCARA:
- Senegalese acacia, natural waxes and filming agents
HOW TO USE:
CREAMY LIPS: Apply Creamy Lips with the brush applicator first by painting the lips with just a small amount of lipstick, then fully load the applicator to fill inside of the lips. Creamy Lips is also great for a more stained effect: just load a tiny bit of the lipstick onto the applicator, apply and blot for a matte stain.
CREAMY EYES: Use it like a thick pencil around the eye or in the eyelid crease, or cover the entire eyelid using the built-in ELLIS FAAS Creamy Eyes brush, then fade the edges with the fingertips. For extra drama, experiment with layering multiple colours of Creamy Eyes.
LIGHTS: Use the brush to paint on the Light over any ELLIS FAAS eye shadow, even though it can also be used on its own. For the strongest effect of metallic intensity, let the Light dry where you have painted it on the eyelid. For a more subtle effect, dab it with your finger before the Light has dried completely.
MASCARA: Use the elegant, long wand of the brush to stroke on one coat to accentuate your lashes with subtlety, or to frame your eyes with more a more dramatic effect, build up the lashes with additional coats.

The story of THE KATE MUR COLLECTION

The concept of Ellis’ makeup and her cosmetics brand, her contribution to charity and freedom of expression - have always encouraged me."
Kate Mur’s life revolves around art and music. She has been playing the violin since early childhood and graduated from the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Sincere love of music has inspired Kate to start looking for new ways to express herself and surprisingly led her into the world of fashion. Makeup was the starting point of her career. Then it eventually evolved into bodypainting and video art. Key features of her work are sculptural forms and a well-balanced colour palette.
The uniqueness of Kate’s creativity is in her absolute freedom of expression. She loves experimenting with colours and finding interesting solutions from combining non-typical materials.
In a large part, Kate’s work is derived from her passion for music and is devoted to beauty and strength of women.
Kate has participated in several charity projects and has dedicated some of her work to Yulia Tsvetkova, an artist and LGBT+ activist from Russia, who has been accused of propagating "incorrect" values.
Furthermore, Kate has worked for world top fashion magazines and brands such as Vogue, Numéro, Interview, Re-Edition, Dazed, Times, Bvlgari, Luxottica, Moncler and Kenzo.
